Is there a better way to enjoy (or escape) the heatwave than going to the seaside? I haven’t yet been convinced otherwise. We often go to Brighton when we want to get out of London and re-energise but this time around we thought we’d visit a new place so we chose Hastings.
A couple of weeks ago we visited family in Groningen and had the best time! The days melted into one another in a whizz of laughter, food and leisurely strolls.
When I think of our days in Ronda I remember the smell of cinnamon and freshly baked pastries. I’m not sure if it was coming from the charming coffee shops or if I was just imagining but what I am certain of is that Ronda is a bohemian little place where life was moving in sweet slow-motion.
Dreaming of a few chilled days in a snowy Nordic capital we went on a city break to Oslo.
We visited Copenhagen in May last year and I’ve been daydreaming about it ever since. I love the laid back atmosphere, the friendly and way-beyond-my-level-of-coolness people, and of course the coffee.
Visiting Cologne is just like visiting a dear friend, familiar yet surprising, charming without making you feel out of place.
